How can we cope with obstacles?

We all have regular challenges and obstacles to overcome along the path but there is no recipe to success. Everyone has his own way to deal with them unless someone prefers to hide from reality and hibernate or escape responsibilities. Life is never easy, we need resilience, patience and adaptability, the minimalist kit for survival. We aren’t here, on the planet Earth, on holidays but more to experience life through different angles.

The people who believe in a God, (whoever it it) will go through life more easily as there is a collective objective and a protection for them. Religious beliefs have always helped people to stand up and go ahead. Religion provides a sense of belonging and a situation of comfort. Even though it is responsible for many wars, conflicts and deaths.

It would surely be more difficult for someone without religious support as the latter is the only one in charge of his own destiny, he can’t blame somebody else for their plans or intentions. It is essential to put events into perspective, to give them the place they deserve and to adopt a more philosophical point of view. It is important to prioritize and play down situations so we can focus on what is really important.

How to cope with life tragedies and dramas?

Let’s start with the way we react while facing bad news. The personal attitude and the level of detachment will be key here. The Element that rules your life can be a good indicator on how you might react when facing bad news. Emotional people such as Water signs (Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces) are more sensitive, more fragile may be. They can easily cry and be overwhelmed.

Air signs (Gemini, Libra and Aquarius) might have a lighter response as they are able to adapt and are less emotionally involved.

Earth people (Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn) might feel stressed and pinned down. They will have slow but strong reactions.

Everything is more intense for Fire signs (Aries, Leo and Sagittarius) and they can over react and aggravate the issues at hand.

Every emotion makes an impact on the body and it will leave a permanent scar. Good emotions are positive for the body and the soul. Negative emotions will hurt the body internally and leave a bad taste in the mouth. This is why we have to learn how to treat information in order to protect ourselves. Sometimes we need to accept the fact that we cannot help or do anything to change the situation.

Mental strength is essential and positive attitude should be enhanced. There is definitively some work to do, to detach ourselves which doesn’t mean being indifferent or aloof. Even if there is no miracle medicine to solve problems, being positive, able to control respiration and the body, sounds like a good start. Looking at the positive side instead of focusing on worries, will surely help as well
